The short version

What Redcubical Systems actually is

Direct answer

Redcubical Systems Private Limited is a 40+-engineer software company that does two things: it builds and operates its own commercial software products, and it delivers engineering services to client organisations worldwide. The second business is credible because of the first — we are asked to make the same architectural, cost and reliability decisions on our own balance sheet every week.

We started in October 2022 building clinical software for Indian healthcare providers, which is still in production today as HealHub. Solving that problem properly meant learning things most services firms never have to: how to keep patient data compliant under the DPDP Act, how to hold a support queue at 2 a.m., how to migrate a live database without losing a booking, and how to keep a cloud bill from quietly doubling.

Clients started asking us to do that work for them. Four years later, services is the larger business, and the products are the reason clients trust the services. We have taken no outside capital, which means we can turn down work that does not fit rather than chase a revenue target set by someone else's spreadsheet.

How we operate

Six commitments we are willing to be measured against

These are not values on a wall. Each one is either written into our contracts or visible in how an engagement runs, and each one costs us something to hold to.

The architect who scopes it, leads it

The person who estimates your work is named in the contract as its delivery lead. This is deliberately inconvenient for us — it means we cannot let a sales engineer promise something the build team has to absorb.

We will tell you to build less

Roughly one enquiry in five leaves with a recommendation for a smaller engagement than they asked for, or none at all. Short-term that costs us revenue. It is also why our retention sits at 96%.

Your IP, from the first commit

Intellectual property assigns to you on creation, not on final payment. Code lives in your repositories under your organisation from day one. Every engineer signs an individual IP assignment, not just a company-level clause.

A real overlap window, in writing

Between four and eight hours of daily overlap with your working day depending on your market, committed in the statement of work. We staff shifts to hold it rather than treating it as best-effort.

Working software over status reporting

A deployable increment lands in your environment every two weeks and is demoed live. If a sprint produced nothing demonstrable, we say that plainly instead of filling a slide with activity.

Bad news travels fast, upward

Slippage, a wrong architectural call, an underestimate — you hear it in the next stand-up, not in the retrospective. Escalation to a founder is a documented path with a response time, not a favour.

Timeline

How we got here

  1. October 2022

    Incorporated in Dehradun

Founded by Ashish Uniyal to build clinical software for Indian healthcare providers. Bootstrapped from the first day, with a deliberate decision to take no external capital.

  2. 2023

    HealHub reaches commercial production

Clinic management covering patient records, appointments, billing, prescriptions and analytics, with AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit and DPDP Act 2023 compliance built in rather than retrofitted.

  3. 2024

    First international services engagements

Clients in the UK and UAE engaged us for platform work after seeing what we had built for ourselves. This is the point the services business became deliberate rather than opportunistic.

  4. 2025

Suraksha and Vedant launch; Bengaluru hub opens

Suraksha brought AI fraud detection to consumers; Vedant put a life-size AI receptionist into clinics. A second engineering hub in Bengaluru gave us access to specialist cloud and data talent.

  5. 2026

Global delivery formalised across ten markets

Published overlap commitments per market, a written delivery governance model, and formal offshore development centre offerings. 40+ engineers, 10 countries, 96% retention.

Location strategy

Why Dehradun, and why that matters to you

Why not Bengaluru or Gurugram?

Engineer retention. Attrition in the large Indian tech centres routinely runs above 20 percent a year, which quietly destroys the accumulated context that makes a long engagement efficient. Dehradun gives us strong engineering graduates from the surrounding technical universities at materially lower churn — and you experience that as the same people knowing your system two years in.

The second reason is focus. In a city where every engineer has three competing offers, a services firm spends its management attention on recruitment and counter-offers. We spend ours on delivery. Our Bengaluru hub exists specifically for specialist cloud, data and machine-learning talent that is genuinely concentrated there — but the core delivery teams, and the institutional memory, stay in Dehradun.

There is a cost trade-off in our favour too, and we pass a meaningful share of it on. That is where the 45–60% advantage against an equivalent onshore build comes from: lower overhead and lower churn, not lower engineering standards or junior staffing.

Honest limits

Work we turn down

A vendor that says yes to everything is telling you something about how it will treat your project when it gets difficult. Here is what we decline, and why.

  • Staffing-only contracts with no delivery visibility. If we cannot see quality, we cannot stand behind it, and you end up paying for hours instead of outcomes.
  • Timelines that are already impossible at signature. Accepting one guarantees a failed project with your name on it as well as ours.
  • Lowest-bid procurement. We will lose those, and we would rather lose them at the RFP stage than by cutting corners mid-build.
  • Fixed price on genuinely unclear scope. We will propose a paid discovery instead. Guessing a number serves neither side.
  • Projects requiring us to hold production credentials we should not have. We work inside your accounts with least-privilege access, not around your controls.
  • Work we do not have the domain depth for. We will say so and, where we can, point you at someone who does.

Answers

About the company

When was Redcubical Systems founded and by whom?

Redcubical Systems Private Limited was founded in October 2022 by Ashish Uniyal, who serves as Chief Executive Officer. The company is bootstrapped and has taken no external investment, which means our delivery decisions answer to clients rather than to a funding timetable.

How large is Redcubical Systems?

We have more than 40 engineers on staff across engineering hubs in Dehradun and Bengaluru, serving clients in 10 countries. We are deliberately mid-sized: large enough to staff a 15-person programme, small enough that a founder is reachable on any escalation.

Is Redcubical Systems a product company or a services company?

Both, and that is the point. We operate four commercial products — HealHub, Suraksha, Vedant and HealHub Nexus — alongside our client services business. Carrying our own pager duty, migration pain and cloud bills is what makes our technical advice credible.

Why is Redcubical Systems based in Dehradun rather than a larger tech city?

Engineer retention. Attrition in Bengaluru, Pune and Gurugram routinely exceeds 20 percent annually, which destroys context on long-running engagements. Dehradun gives us access to strong engineering graduates from the surrounding technical universities with materially lower churn, and our clients feel that as team continuity.

What does Redcubical Systems not do?

We do not take staffing-only contracts where we have no visibility into delivery quality, we do not compete on being the cheapest bid, and we do not accept engagements where the timeline is already impossible at signature. Declining those is cheaper for everyone than failing them.
